We called a few days ahead and they squeezed us in for the exact time we requested. Reservations on the weekend are a must for prime times, but if you strike out with Open Table, call. We had a romantic dinner for two one night and then occupied the large plank table with our group the next night.
Our group closed the restaurant down the second night and they never made us feel that we'd overstayed our welcome. The service was good both nights-at the bar and at the table. The wine list was good-some quality wines for a good price, including some unusual wines. We ordered signature dishes-the octopus, duck, scallops-and loved them all. They're all foodies, so, that's saying something. We knew we liked it, but both of the local couples pronounced it the best restaurant in Scottsdale. On the second night it was because our local friends had heard about it and wanted to check it out. We were guests at the Inn and ended up eating here both nights. Chef Osso often refers to the food - and the vibe - of Virtu as a "beautifully composed symphony of sights, scents and tastes".
